David Bernatz Jewelers is a family-owned and operated jewelry store located in the heart of beautiful seaside Encinitas, California. Many years ago, a man with a passion for jewelry, our patriarch and namesake David Jerome Bernatz, opened the original David Bernatz Jewelers in Mission Valley in 1977. With a focus on the sale of fine jewelry and repairs, our shop gained notoriety in the community for quality products and outstanding service. Not long afterward, David’s son, David Alexander, took up an interest in his father's business.
In 1982, David A. graduated from the Gemological Institute of America as a Graduate Gemologist and joined his father in growing the family business. Since taking over in 1987, David A. has kept the legacy of his father David Jerome Bernatz alive buying, selling, and educating customers about their jewelry in our shop in the Encinitas Ranch Town Center.
David Bernatz Jewelers has a long history in San Diego, especially in the town of Encinitas, and we pride ourselves on our love and dedication to this beautiful community.
